Venice in West Perth

Cinemachine were proud to host a Red Carpet investor event for Roderick McKay’s feature film, The Furnace. The evening coincided with the world premiere of the film at the 77th Venice Film Festival. It was the only Australian film accepted into the festival this year and competed in the Orrizonti (Horizons) section.

The evening started with Campari and prosecco on the front deck. Then utilizing our studio spaces, investors were taken to Venice via Studio 3’s giant green screen, allowing them to stand on the Red Carpet keyed into the background. They were all smiles seeing themselves on the Lido, keyed live to monitors.

Studio 2 was set up as a Venetian themed dining hall with the recorded action from the greenscreen played back to them projected onto a 12ft screen as they wined, dined and laughed.

Cinemachine also supplied all the tech for the night in addition to supplying all the camera equipment used to shoot The Furnace.
